Dear Doc and Pat,

It has been some months now since “Edward” left Pine View Farm to join his equine buddies, “Nugget” and “Sammy”, at Leah’s new farm in Williamsburg.  All are doing well.   I’ve been reminiscing about the many wonderful years Leah and I enjoyed boarding our horses with you in Loveland.  I feel as if Leah grew up on your farm!  I’m sure you and Pat enjoyed watching over the years as she matured from a horse-crazy pre-teen to a mature, responsible young woman.  I attribute much of Leah’s quality of character to the lessons she learned caring for her beloved horses at Pine View.  Your facility had great amenities for us and for our horses and we sure miss some of them!  I have many great pictures of dear old "Penny" and our three “boys” enjoying the spacious and well-maintained fields. I always appreciated that you designated some areas as mud paddocks for use in winter and in very wet weather.  This really protected the good grass fields for summer grazing.  Many farms do not do that, and as a result they have nothing but overgrazed weed fields.  One thing Leah really misses (besides your bathroom in the barn AND the heated tack room!) is your outdoor arena as she doesn't have a ring or arena on her place yet.  You always do a great job keeping the footing nice.  I know your indoor isn’t big, but it was great for rainy day play.  Believe me, Leah would be happy to have it now!

Doc, I hope your current boarders really appreciate the gem you offer horse lovers there surrounded these days by all those subdivisions.  You have maintained a beautiful, safe environment for both horses and patrons.  I never worried that Leah or I would be bothered by anyone or that the horses' safety and security would be at risk.  As you well know, I had no qualms about allowing Leah to "ride her bike to the barn" to spend entire days there doing what she loved best-- hanging out with her horses.

We sincerely wish the best for you and Pat and the continued success of the farm.  I feel a great fondness (and protectiveness!) for Pine View Farm and when I decide the time is right to get my mini or my Friesian, and want a place close to home to keep them safe and happy, I hope you will have an open stall in "my barn" to welcome us back.

Happy trails,

-Carol
